How is Metallic, ionic & Covalent Bonds used in Everyday Life?
With all due respect, this is a “nonsense question”. In your everyday life you encounter thousands of chemicals with a variety of bonding, but we don’t think about the bonding. We don’t “use” bonding in a conscious way. But obviously the bonding influences the properties of whatever we might be dealing with at the time. Whether you are frying an egg, watching TV or riding a bicycle there is chemistry all around you, including the bonding, but we don’t “use” the bonding when we do those things, in fact hardly anyone even things about the chemistry involved. Nobody thinks about the polymerization of the proteins in the frying egg and the covalent and hydrogen bonding. We don’t think about the liquid crystals and their uniquie structure when you watch your LCD TV. And you give no thought whatsoever to the free electrons and iron “ions” that exist in the steel of the frame of your bicycle or the covalent bonds in the rubber of your tires. Even though chemistry is all around us and even in
