How is Milan Different from Rome?

Milan is very different from Rome. I lived in Rome and have visited Milan several times, and I love both cities. People & Friendliness: They are about the same. City folks that are quite accustomed to seeing foreigners. Culture: Both have great culture. Opera, clubs, museums (Rome has more), art galleries, great fashion (obviously Milan wins)… Food: Rome has a slight edge. Boys: Be careful what you wish for, because they will be all over you. Prettier: Easily Rome. Milan is a newer city with fewer monuments and ancient architecture. Beach: Only Rome. It’s about 45mins more or less away from the city. Taxi is possible but very expensive. The train is cheap; I always took it from Piramide station. Zoo: Rome’s zoo is pretty great. It’s in a “biopark”. More fun: Rome has more variety, so it wins.
