How is nLive Core deployed?
In its simplest form, nLive Core is available as a turn-key appliance which takes only 10 minutes to install. The appliance contains a sensor and a console combined together for your convenience. It is deployed at a switch by mirroring (SPAN) the packet traffic on the switch or on one or more VLANs. A web-browser on a standard desktop or laptop is used to connect to nLive Core console for visualization, analytics, reporting and settings. For a more complex deployment involving multiple locations, one would need additional sensors, which can also be deployed in 10 minutes each, and then mapped to the same central console. For those who like the flexibility and affordability of software solution, nLive is also available without the appliance. This version is available as a Linux-based software which can be installed on the hardware that the customer provides.
