How is OBS affected by latency/delay issues?
Whilst there is latency with a broadband satellite service, Optus uses acceleration software to mitigate any delay attributable to the distance that the satellite signal must travel. Using this software, OBS can deliver a service comparable to and, on occasions better than, a terrestrial broadband service. Without the acceleration software, you may experience between 500ms and 1500ms of latency when using a Satellite based service.
