how is punta cana which is in dominican republic for a vacation spot?
Punta Cana is a beautiful place for a nice relaxing vacation with no hassles. That is if you do not want a lot of varied night life or restaurants near by. Most hotels are all inclusive and offer all amenities on-site. Unlike Cancun or other places, there are not a lot of things to do outside your hotel either during the day or at night. As always, there are the typical tours to see, and do, different stuff but mostly the main activities will be in your hotel. I suggest you choose a hotel from a large hotel chain. Those have the best services, food quality and activity programs, as well as a good medical service should you need it. (It always best to be prepared) Also, the bigger the hotel, the easier it is to find the perfect place for you on the beach or by the pool. I have been there twice and have stayed at the MELIA hotels. I loved it and plan to return again in 2007. One last thing, DO NOT RENT A CAR OR A MOPED, people there do not know how to drive. Enjoy!
