How is PWG addressing the California re-evaluation data requirements and representing the industry at CDPR meetings?
Since 2005, PWG companies have been evaluating questions on pyrethroids in sediments raised by California scientists and developed preliminary data that are helping to focus the direction of the CDPR study requirements. The PWG is presently drafting proposals and protocols to address the various data requirements that will be submitted to CDPR for review. The PWG has also been working for several years with organizations such as the Coalition for Urban and Rural Environmental Stewardship (CURES) to develop educational materials and programs to improve the stewardship of pyrethroids. Several publications and technical bulletins are available from the CURES website www.curesworks.org.
