How Is Testosterone Administered for Men?
There are various ways to in which testosterone can be administered like shots, gels, transdermal patches, pills, and buccal and lingual patches. Testosterone supplement for men can be really helpful to improve the testosterone level in men.
For men, Testosterone can be given as a cream or gel daily, as in women. Most men, however, prefer weekly injections for several reasons. First, while blood levels achieved are the same, most men feel better on the injections. The effect seems more profound. Second, the injection requires only once-weekly dosing, while the cream must be applied once or twice a day. Finally, because it’s absorbed through the skin, Testosterone cream preferentially raises the level of another hormone called DHT (dihydroTestosterone). DHT is the hormone related to male pattern baldness and prostate enlargement. The injectable Testosterone, by bypassing the skin, doesn’t raise DHT significantly.
