How is the 3 month (90 day) unemployment rule regulated?
It is your responsibility to report your employment information to ISSS as soon as you have a position. We can then update your SEVIS record to reflect your practical training. You can update ISSS with any employment and addresses changes through the on-line document request “OPT Address Update,” and we will in turn update SEVIS. By using SEVIS, the government will be able to track OPT employment (or unemployment).
