How is the Annual Meeting Program Committee appointed?

0

The AMPC is comprised of the Chair, selected by the AALL Vice-President nearly two years before the conference itself, and six members. The Vice-President and the Chair choose AMPC members from the pool of committee volunteers based on representation of types of libraries and job positions, reflection of the demographics of the AALL membership, and activity within AALL. The 2010 Committee included two members of the PLL-SIS and one member of the TS-SIS. Additionally, the incoming 2011 AMPC Chair, who is an ex officio member of this year’s Committee, is a technical services librarian. The 2010 chair is a state law librarian and possessed seven years of recent experience in a law firm library.
