How is the Aspen MasterCard® interest rate governed?
Our credit cards are issued by First Bank and Trust(FB&T), a bank organized under the laws of the State of South Dakota as provided in your Bank Credit Card Agreement. Federal and South Dakota law govern our credit card accounts. Federal law (see 12 U.S.C 1831d) permits FB&T to charge any FB&T customer/cardholder, regardless of the cardholder’s state of residence, the same interest as defined by federal law and as allowed under South Dakota law.
