How is the credit crunch hitting renewables?
The past 12 months have witnessed a declining global economy, with the combination of the credit crunch and rapidly increasing oil and commodity prices dominating the investment environment, As the credit crunch moves into its second phase, Ernst & Young has surveyed lenders and analyzed the general market situation to see if the appetite for investment has been affected, and what the effects may be going forward. Ernst & Young is producing a Thought Center Webcast to assess and address these issues. During this 12 August webcast, Jonathan Johns, author of the Ernst & Young Renewable Energy and Biofuels Country Attractiveness Indices, and Ben Warren, leader in the Ernst & Young Renewables, Waste and Clean Energy Group, will provide insights into these effects, as well as the key movements in the Country Attractiveness Indices during the first half of 2008.
