How is the determination made for the discharge factor when a residence is attached to a business or where there are multiple businesses on the same property?
The NSW Government Department of Energy Utilities and Sustainability (DEUS) has provided guidelines for determining appropriate discharge factors in circumstances where there are multiple dischargers attached to a single rated property. However LGWU’s may not be aware of those circumstances and you should advise Shoalhaven Water of any special conditions that may exist that could alter the “normal” discharge factor. If you do not agree with the allocated discharge factor, you can apply to have it reviewed but the onus is on you to provide the relevant information.
