A First of all there is no difference between the energy of Reiki, Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong or any other energetic modalities. It is not the energy that is different but the methods that are worked at within each of these systems that is different. Yoga, Reiki, Tai Chi, Qi Gong all have the same aim; becoming One with the universe. As soon as we begin to realize this Oneness we also begin to understand that Reiki (the energy) is not different from the energy people work with within Tai Chi or Yoga. Sometimes we humans like to believe that the system of our choice is more special than any other system and we say that what we know is better, or that it utilizes higher vibrations etc… etc… These statements come from an ego based viewpoint rather than from a space of experience and Oneness. If we look at the Japanese word Reiki we see its translation is Spiritual Energy or, more commonly in the West, Universal Life Force Energy. Universal means exactly that; it encompasses everything.
