How is the headphone jack on the Deluxe Cassette Recorders/Players labeled “HP/EXT SPKR” differs from other non-labeled jacks?
When a headphone is plugged into the “HP/EXT SPKR” headphone jack, the audio is heard through only the attached headphone so it doesn’t distract the rest of the class. When a headphone is plugged into any other “non-labeled” headphone jacks, the audio can be heard both through the headphone and the built-in speaker on the cassette player. The HP/EXT SPKR headphone jack feature is found on the Deluxe Cassette Recorders/Players (5262AV & 5272AV), Budget Cassette Recorder/Player (1300AV), and Translucent Cassette Recorder/Player (1500AVBL).
