How is the IBC (1000 litre bulk container) delivered?

The 1000 litre container of biodiesel is generally delivered on a large truck (about the size of a council garbage truck) with a tail-lift and a pallet trolley. Not a crane. The full container weighs approximately one tonne, and is impossible to move by hand, even with a gang of people. This means that if you are buying a 1000 litre container, you need a place such as a yard or driveway with good access. After the IBC has been offloaded from the trucks tail-lift you will only be able to wheel the IBC along a hard flat level surface using the drivers pallet trolley: for non-flat, or non-level surfaces you would need a forklift, which you are unlikely to have in a domestic setting and would cost a lot of money to hire. If you are within a 50 mile range of the M25 it may be possible for us to deliver the IBC using other methods, including delivering an empty IBC, moving it to position, then pumping the biodiesel into it.
