My husband had Lasik around six – seven years ago. His vision at the time was about 20/300 in one eye and about 20/400 in the other. He couldn’t see his alarm clock in the morning when he woke up or his feet in the shower. He went to about 20/15 in one eye and about 20/25 in the other. This was done purposely, to try to mitigate the future need for reading glasses, although he was told that he most likely would still need reading glasses at some point in his future. However, at this point, he has been using glasses for about the last year when driving at night and when watching TV or movies. Granted, his bad eye is only to about 20/40, which is most certainly hugely better than where he was at, but I just told you this so that you don’t get the false impression that you will permanently eliminate your need for glasses.
