The minisculpture procedure is performed in a similar way to liposculpture, though finer instruments the size of long needles are used. The procedure involves local infiltration with a solution which contains lidocaine and sterile saline. Ultra sound energy may be used to soften the fat and make its removal easier. Small instruments are then used to dislodge and remove the fat cells.
