How is the recession affecting Americans living in Tokyo?

0

In Tokyo region people are living in a studio nearly the size of my bathroom right now. With just that much room, it feels like living in a bird cage man. Can people really deal with that in Tokyo? Personally I feel I would be doomed if I ever go to Japan, because I’m used to the American standard of housing here. when compared to american standard housing , it’s like comparing piglet and godzilla. However it’s pretty much worth it because with a studio type room you get to experience daily japanese life. I’ve heard that Japanese people dislike Americans living in Japan. Is this true? If and when I go to Japan, I don’t want to be hated.. I’d like to know if this is just a stupid rumor or not. Sources: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/world_news_america/7951800.
