Can I get a TFD patch? The City of Tallahassee does not distribute fire patches to the general public. Having said that, TFD does not prevent other entities from selling them through other means, and you may be able to obtain one through ‘unofficial’ means. How do I apply for a Firefighter Position? The City of Tallahassee accepts applications year round from State of Florida certified firefighters. No written or practical testing is done at this time. Conditional offers of employment are done based on an interview process. Applications remain active for one year from the dated received.
