How is the way volcanic mountains form different from the way other mountains form?

0

Volcanic mountains are formed from a volcano spewing out lava. The lava dries and continues to build up after more eruptions or more lava has set on top. This is different from other mountains which are formed when the plates of the earth push together causing one plate to rise above the other thus creating the mountains, this process takes a lot longer then the volcanic mountains as it can take hundreds of millions of years for the plates to push against each other to create a rise in the earths surface. Hope this helps you out.
