Yes to be considered as part of above; funding is required to provide statuary services beyond normal capacity; this issue is also being discussed with Government Olympic Executive. Q: Should a case be put together to request additional funding from government to help the Borough Council meet these additional and onerous responsibilities during the Games period and its preparation? A: Sponsorship will clearly be a potential avenue for funding the provision of additional facilities eg tented village on the Pavilion/Ferry Terminal site. Overall costs increase being taken up with GOE. Q: What extra costs will the Council /Local Authorities have to bear in helping to host the Games.
