How long after a police officer retires can he/she apply for a waiver?

0

Police officers’ who retire in good standing after 20 years of service may apply for a waiver/exemption up to 3 years after they retire. Within that time they are eligible for a waiver of training, and exempt from the physical and psychological exams and the $50 application fee. After 3 years they must complete the entire application process and are only waived of the academic portion of the training.
