How long can a baby ball python live in a 10 gallon tank?
There are actually two things you can do with upgrading enclosures. The first thing is that you can buy tanks as it grows, such as a 10 gallon, to a 20 gallon, to a 30 gallon, then to a 40 gallon, and possibly a 55 gallon depending on length. Adult Ball pythons will need a 40-55 gallon enclosure, but they fit well in a 40 gallon. A baby Ball python will last in a 10 gallon for a while, until you notice it is too big for the enclosure. You can keep upgrading enclosures, or you can try something else rather than buying one tank after another. You can actually buy the 40 gallon enclosure to keep the baby in, but, you will need several hiding places. You should fill the enclosure with many hides, plants, and sticks. This will make the Ball python feel secure, and the enclosure will last the snake its entire life.
