How long do lip piercings take to heal, and should my septum still be sore?

LOL. I had my lip pierced, and ya, it’s a b**** to eat. Stay away from all sour and spicy foods please! And ya, the swelling does go down. Thankfully have a lip ring takes some of the attention away from it, and with two, I bet it doesn’t look that bad. I heal up pretty fast, so the range of heal times vary greatly from person to person. Heck, for some people, it may never heal! Proper aftercare though, it should heal for most people. Most who do care for it use salt water soaks, or clean with dial soap. However, I only did dial soap in the shower until it stopped hurting, then I ignored it complete. I didn’t take proper care for most of my piercings, and they were all fine. My body doesn’t reject easily and I don’t get infections, so I’m one of the lucky ones. I also got a septum too. The soreness is probably normal. I’ve had mine for more than a year now, and I believe it’s because the piercing is pierced in a very fine pocket of skin. Any pressure, and you’re stimulating the nerves
