That seems to have changed a little over time as we become more and more educated about the Pogona Vitticeps (Bearded Dragon). The oldest bearded dragon in captivity is 15 years old and he is still living! The average lifespan of a captive bearded dragon is approximately 10 years. With good husbandry there is no reason we couldn’t shatter the records in the future and have these incredible creatures for years and years to come!
