How long does a scar take to heal after scar revision surgery?

Depends what you mean by heal. Epithelial cells will migrate over the surface in a day or two but the collagen bridging the scar is very very weak. After about 7-10 days there will be collagen fibres bridging the scar, the scar will not be very strong which is why there may be sutures under the skin strengthening the scar (these usually dissolve after a while). Over the next few months the collagen fibres will reorganise to become stronger, the colour will fade and the skin contour will settle down. So functionally the scar will be healed in about 10 days, the skin will go on slowly altering over the next few months. Looking at some of my operation scars they improved cosmetically for several years although the alteration rate was very very slow.
