It depends entirely on the thickness of the paint and how many layers you have. Oil paint might appear to be dry to the touch but in general it takes 6 months to 1 year to dry 100%. At least dry enough that you can varnish it. But in all reality there are paintings hanging in the Louvre that are **not** 100% dry. It ought to be dry to the touch after about a week or so, but if you want it to dry faster add Liquin to the paint or use paint and paint thinner/mineral spirits and it will dry much faster.  more
