How long does hamburger last in the freezer?
The expiration date is only for time in the fridge. As long as your hamburger is properly sealed so it does not get freezer burn it will be fine. If it does get freezer burn just cut out that part and use the rest. The USDA recommends freezing ground beef for 4 months at 0 Fahrenheit. But this is an estimate based on best Quality not safety, you can keep it frozen longer. Thaw it in the fridge over night or in microwave. If you thaw it in the microwave cook it immediately. In the fridge you have a day or 2 to cook it. Also after it’s cooked it can be frozen again. Happy Cooking!
