How long does it take for an auto insurance company to send someone to inspect a vehicle after an accident?
My car was damaged. The other vehicle was at fault. A claim has been started but the other insurance company has yet to send someone to inspect the vehicle after 1 week. I have left messages with the adjuster. No return. How long does it usually take to get compensated after a car accident? A: It all depends on the company, their policies, and any issues there may be with the claim. If the loss just occured w/ in the last week, I can see how maybe it has taken a little longer to inspect your vehicle (remember we’ve had 2 holidays in the past week, christmas and new years) Otherwise it should be no more than about 3 working days for someone to inspect your car. As far as how long until you are paid for the damages……. If there are no issues with the claim and they accept full liability, you should expect a check within a week or so after the inspection of your car. If the adjuster is not returning you calls, call the 800# for the company and get the operator on the line, then ask to
