How long does it take to complete the Bankruptcy process?
It depends on the Bankruptcy you choose. In a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, you will receive a discharge within 3 to 6 months after the Bankruptcy petition is filed. Once you are discharged, the debt will be erased and you can move on with your life. Choosing to file for Bankruptcy under Chapter 13 will take three to five years, depending on your expenses, debt and level of income.
