My passport arrived within days from taking it to the Passport Office. You can post it off but as there was a Passport Office in my area I went there and left it with them. I think it was about 3/4 days when it arrived back at my home. If you are posting it then I would allow 7/8 days for it to be posted back to you. Not to worry about the Holiday in April it will be back long before then.
