How long does it take to heal a broken fibula, broken quite badly….?
An average bone fracture can take up to 2 months to fully heal – so I imagine you’re stuck for the long haul. You’ll need to wait for the bone to heal – then you’ll need to recover from the screws being removed, which might damage some more of the bone. My guess is about 6 months, though that’s only a guess – don’t get your hopes up, as it might end up being longer. Then again, your bones might be pretty quick in healing, so you might have less than that 🙂 I’m afraid it’ll be a while until you’re fully able to walk without a crutch or something – you might find yourself able to “hobble” a little bit before, though don’t try doing it too often, since it could disrupt the healing process & things might heal wonky. My sister fractured her metatarsal about a year ago & she got sick of using her crutches – so she hobbled about everywhere. However, she’s got a slight bump on her foot where the break was, so we’re thinking it didn’t heal properly because she didn’t sit still long enough (or
