There are organisations which cover the basics in a single weekend, but no reputable school in Britain would regard this as enough, and your chances of a good job abroad would also be much lower. Usually, the standard basic EFL qualification is a Certificate (CELTA) which takes one month of full-time intensive training, or longer part-time. The organisation with the best reputation for the Certificate is Cambridge University, which offers training nationwide. The Certificate is hard work, but provides an excellent grounding and is recognised everywhere.
