How long does the hiring process take?
While it varies, most people have at least two rounds of face-to-face interviews–the first with recruiting and hiring managers, the second with the team. Most posted positions are available immediately, but the hiring process can vary greatly in length and depends on several factors, including the skills needed and the number of qualified candidates.
When the hiring committee completes the interviewing process they make a recommendation to hire a selected applicant. After all University approvals are received for the recommended applicant a job offer is made contingent upon a UH security clearance. This process does take some time to complete.
