How long has “Charmed” been on television?
The television series Charmed has been running since October 1998. The story focuses on the three Halliwell sisters, modern-day witches who use their powers to fight evil. The original cast of sisters was played by Shannen Doherty as Prudence, Holly Marie Combs as Piper and Alyssa Milano as Phoebe. When Shannen Doherty decided to leave the show at the end of the third season, her character was killed off. To maintain the magical “power of three” (one of the show’s catch-phrases), the two remaining sisters discover that they have a half-sister, Paige Matthews. The character of Paige is played by Rose McGowan.
