How long is the flight from Auckland to LAX?
According to “KiaOra” the Air New Zealand magazine, it’s 11hrs 55mins and a distance of 10488Km. Call it 12 hours, which seems about right, I didn’t have a stopwatch running. Incidentally on a side note, if you are just making a transit stop at LAX on the way to London on Air New Zealand, it might be better to go via Hong Kong instead. You get two inches extra leg room on the 747 versus the 777 used on the Los Angeles route and you don’t have the indignity and stupidity of paranoid US immigration to go through just for the “pleasure” of being herded into a cramped transit holding room for an hour or so.
