How long is the Premium TransitChek MetroCard good for?
The Premium TransitChek MetroCard is valid for twelve calendar months and is activated automatically beginning with the first day of the calendar month following the date of receipt of the Card in the mail. Approximately one week before the end of the twelfth (12th) calendar month you will receive another Card that will become activate in the next month.
