How Long is the Trip to the Moon?
How long will it take to get to the Moon from Earth using the space shuttle or on an Apollo mission? The space shuttle is not designed to go to the Moon, only to orbit the Earth. The last Apollo mission flew in 1972, and it took 3 to 4 days for the Apollo spacecraft that went there to get to the Moon. You can read more about the Apollo missions at this NASA GSFC site.
