How long until I can apply for specialised areas (eg: SERT, Dog Squad, Scenes of Crime)?

A – Once your First Year Constable training is complete, you must then continue in a General Duties capacity for approximately 3 to 5 years prior to making application for a specialised area. This is to ensure that you are competent in all areas of general duties policing prior to moving into a specialised capacity.  more
