How long was Noah on the Ark after the flood began?
The Bible says that Noah was 600 years old when the flood began. Gen 7:11 says that he was 600 years, 2 months and 17 days when the flood burst forth. Gen 8:13 says that in Noah’s 601st year, 1st month and 1st day the land was dry. So it all depends on when you want to count the start. It evidentially took another 27 days for the land to completely dry, because in Gen 8:14 the Bible says the animals were let go after 2 months and 27 days. So one would have to say – from the Biblical account Noah was on the ark, with the animals 370 days from start to finish. This assumes 30 day months using the Hebrew calender. Doing the math, the flood began on the 77th day of his 600th years and continued until the 31st day of his 601st year. But the animals did not exit the ark until 27 days later. So that would be 360 -77 = 283 days plus 87 days (31 days plus 46 days) = 370th day.
