How long will it take my sailfin tang to het fully grown?
How large is it now? The answer would be very different for a 3 inch vs. 8 inch sailfin. It will take several years probably though. I had a small 1.5-2 inch regal tang and it has grown to about 4 inches in the last year but it still has a long way to go to reach its maximum length of 8 inches. Sailfins can get up to 15 inches in an aquarium and need a 125 gallon aquarium at maturity. I’d vary the diet a little more as well. My tangs eat everything that is offered and I give them mysis shrimp, spirulina enriched brine shrimp, emerald entre, marine cuisine and dried algae. Sea Veggies, Seaweed Salad and Ocean Nutrition are all ideal products as well.
