How long will it take to get my income tax return if I sent it through the mail?

I did not want to pay the E-File fee, so I mailed mine in, even though my tax software warned me repeatedly that E-Filing would enable my refund to be sent 2 – 4 weeks earlier. I mailed it in during the first week of February. I got my refund in 2 weeks direct deposited into my checking account. I think this is because I filed so early. If you wait until March or April, the IRS will be bogged down with everybody else’s return and your refund will be delayed. If you have already filed, then I would estimate between 2 and 4 weeks to get your refund. I hope this helps.
