How long will my homemade chocolate truffles last?
The shelf life of truffles is about two weeks. Refrigeration and Freezing of Perishable Chocolate Bonbons Seal the chocolates in a Ziploc ® bag or Tupperware ® container and refrigerate or freeze. Thaw frozen chocolates by leaving them overnight in the refrigerator in the unopened container. Allow refrigerated chocolates to come to room temperature before opening the container. The time to wait to open the container depends on the temperature of the refrigerator and the room; four hours is a good estimate. This procedure will prevent condensation from forming and allows the fillings to soften to their nicest consistency.
