How Long Will my STARband Treatment Take?

0

This is probably one of the most common questions and is one of the most difficult to answer. It depends on a number of factors. • Your child’s age when commencing treatment. • Your child’s initial measurement of severity. • Your child’s individual growth pattern • Compliance to treatment and consistency of wearing the helmet. • If your child catches a cold, temperature increases or becomes unwell (not due to STARband treatment), resulting in the helmet having to be taken off for any length of time. • If / when you, as parents / guardians are happy to finish treatment. The average length of time is approximately 5-6 months. This average time reduces for younger children, or less severe head shapes. It increases for older children, or children with more severe head shapes. Once your clinician at Vitality in Motion has your child’s details and measurements, they will be able to give you a more accurate estimation.
