How many amendments to the constitution have been ratified?
There have been 27 amendments to the Constitution of the United States. The first ten are known as the “Bill of Rights”. So far Congress has found a way to violate almost every amendment that was ratified: McCain-Feingold violates the First; the Brady Lie violated the Second; “disaster relief”, socialist medicine (Medicaid/Medicare), and the welfare state programs violate the Tenth; pay raises for congress for the last decade have violated the 27th.
