According to cleveland.com… State and local health officials Sunday confirmed Ohio’s first case of swine flu in a 9-year-old Lorain County boy, and said that more cases are likely to follow. The boy’s school, Ely Elementary in Elyria, is closed this week as a precaution following a Centers for Disease Control recommendation issued Sunday night, according to Doug Dever, public information officer for the Lorain County office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security. “What they don’t want is for a student who was recently exposed to go to school and on Tuesday or Wednesday start infecting new students,” Dever said.
