How many cups of tea will 2oz of loose-leaf yield?
Generally, 2oz of loose-leaf tea yields 15 to 20 – 8oz cups of tea. The yield depends on the density of the tea leaves, and how strong you like your cup of tea. Less than a teaspoon of loose Black Tea is needed to steep a soothing 8oz cup of tea. On the other hand, fluffy, White Tea leaves may require a heaping teaspoon to yield a suble cup of tea. Most teas, especially Black and Oolong, can be steeped multiple times by increasing the steeping time after each brew. So save your leaves!
