How many days after embryo transfer should I look for signs of success/failure?

You shouldn’t be looking for ANY signs of success or failure now. The only true test of success or failure is your blood test. You can get true results with a blood test as early as 9 days past transfer. Though you had some breakthrough bleeding your last cycle, know that that is rare and most women do not get their periods until stopping the progesterone after a failed cycle. Were you on suppositories your first cycle? They can cause bleeding and bleeding and it is pretty common. Know that pregnant women do bleed so some blood at times can really mean nothing. Also know that you may experience some pregnancy-like symptoms now but that is only the medications you are taking. True pregnancy symptoms do not start until about the 5th week of pregnancy. I know it is very hard but do what you can to keep your brain busy. Do some deep breathing, meditations, go for a gentle walk, indulge in habits, get sucked into a book or movie. Hang in there! This site has some great meditation downloads
