How many days protection does a Frontline Plus Cat flea pill last?
According to the Frontline website, Frontline Plus does not come in a pill. Frontline plus is a liquid that is applied to the skin of your cat on the space between the cat’s shoulder blades. After application Frontline Plus quickly spreads all over the cat’s body and into their oil glands. From the glands the product is continually replenished over the cat’s skin and fur. This method of storage and replenishment makes the product long lasting and waterproof. Frontline does not repel fleas and ticks. It kills them within 24 to 48 hours. Each application should kill fleas and ticks for a month. The manufacturer recommends applying the product once a month throughout the year. The active ingredient is fipronil. From the Frontline website: FRONTLINE Plus provides long-lasting, effective control of fleas and ticks on your cat and dog as well as in your home: • Kills up to 100% of existing fleas in less than 24 hours • Continues killing fleas for at least an entire month (up to three months
