GM reported on 5/15/2009 that it has spoken to 1100 U.S. dealerships that it intends to drop them from their retail network but not until 2010. This supposedly is only the first wave of dealership closures. GM is planning to elminate ~2400 of the 5969 dealerships. 470 of those dealerships sell Saturns, Saabs, and Hummers which are the brands GM intends to sell or shut down. GM hasn't publicly disclosed which dealerships are on the list. Locations are all across the United States. From Florida to California.
The Huffington Post has the largest list I've seen so far.

How many dealerships is GM currently planning to close in 2009 and where are they located?
